Halloween Party

On occasion of halloween party, people dressed up themselves with different costume and celebrated the day with various activities. It is observed on October 31 every year. Halloween parties include activities like costume parties, trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns, bonfires, apple bobbing, playing pranks, telling scary stories, visiting haunted house or locations and watching horror movies.

The children on the day visit door-to-door to collect candy. They are dressed up in different costume. The Halloween day is celebrated in most of western countries including Ireland, Scotland, United States and Canada. The word Halloween is derived from Irish word, which means the end of summer. Some historians said that the party has originated from Roman feast of Pomona. The goddess of fruit and seeds, or in the festivals of the dead called Parentalia.

The festival is closely related with the Celtic festival of Samhain. The various activities of party could be successful through a planned halloween party ideas. The people dress up in various costume attend the party to celebrate the day. The costume selection is based on popular fiction characters, celebrities and generic archetypes such as ninjas and princesses. The traditional costume of Halloween is related to supernatural figures such as monsters, ghosts, skeletons, witches and devils. The religious prospective of Halloween differ in every religion.

Angelic Christian marked it as All Saints Day, while Protestants celebrate it as Reformation Day. Many Christian priests marked Halloween as a fun event where child could play with parents. According to Celtic belief, Halloween is day for maintaining ancestral customs and to offer thanks to god and ancestors. As for some it is time for fun and play while others believe that one could avoid evil spirits and ghosts by organizing Halloween party.
