Asia Cup, the tournament which has participated only by major Asian teams. The motive of beginning this tournament is to promote goodwill amongst Asian countries and it was established by ACC in 1983. In 1984, the tournament was initially held in Sharjah and it was also place of council office till 1995.
During establishment of tournament, the ACC was declared that the tournament will be held in every two year interval but due to some reason, many times Asia cup fixtures has postponed and cancelled. It is a cause of huge differences between two tournaments and yet only ten Asia cups had been held in three decades. The tournament has seen many conflicts due to worst relationship with countries and match schedule of ICC tournament. In 1986, India pulled out due to worst cricketing relationship with Sri Lanka and in 1999, the Asia cup was cancelled due to bad political relationship between India and Pakistan. One can get fixtures of every held tournament from 1984 to 2010.
Asia Cup Fixture 2013
Asia cup 2013 is an eleventh edition of Asia cup tournament that will be going to happen from March 12 to March 22, 2013. The fixture is rescheduled and will be held in Bangladesh, one participant of the tournament out of four. Previously, the schedule was declared as March 1 to 11 but reason of postpone the tournament is tri-series between India, Australia and Sri Lanka. All Asia cup cricket matches of Asia cup will be played in Sher-e-Bangla stadium, Mirpur and the first match will be occurred among Pakistan vs Bangladesh. Next match will be held on March 13, 2013 between India vs Sri Lanka. Final will be played on 22nd March 2013 amongst top two teams who scored Maximum.
The Asia cup fixture 2013 has declared by ACC and four major Asian teams will participate in this 11th Asia cup such as India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. All teams are in well form and expected that all will show their best performance. India would like to defend the title as it is the winner of last tournament which was played in Sri Lanka. However, this tournament is totally special for all teams.
